Words are but the signs of ideas.
Starting this year, the inter-university Master's degree course in Italian Studies proposes three renewed study programmes and numerous new courses designed to meet your specific needs and personal goals.
By choosing the Historical and Philological curriculum, your focus will be the historical-literary scene in Italy and Europe, which will be analysed through a multidisciplinary perspective: you will deal with texts in their linguistic and stylistic dimensions and, thanks to the contribution of science and technology, you will become an expert in the transmission process of the humanistic knowledge in various contexts - institutional, private and commercial.
The Intercultural and Interlinguistic curriculum pays greater attention to anthropological and historical studies, as well as to the relationship between languages and cultures; this will enable you to deal with the complexity of different cultural contexts and their relationship with the Italian one, thus paving the way for a career in the sphere of mediation and transcultural education.
Finally, with the Digital curriculum, you will combine a solid knowledge of Italian literature with the potential offered by new media, in order to work successfully as a creator and editor, and to study further innovative textual practices.
