Archaeological excavations
Excavation activities are an essential part for the archaeological research: they usually constitute the first phase – dedicated to recognition and material collection – of more extensive programmes. Excavation projects are thus often collateral initiatives in the context of bigger “container projects”, which are however frequently organized thanks to further fundings, granted by various public and private bodies and institutions.
