Henning Hufnagel (Heidelberg, 1977) is a specialist in Italian and French Literature from the 15th to the 19th century. He dealt with the topics of literature and science, aspects of literary reception and intermediality. Among his numerous publications we can mention a work on the Dialoghi by Giordano Bruno, Ein stück von jeder Wissenschaft, Gattungshybridisierung, Argumentation und Erkenntnis in Giordano Brunos italienischen Dialogen (Stuttgart, Franz Steiner Verlag, 2009), and the monograph Wissen und Diskurshoheit. Zum Wissenschaftbezug in Lyrik. Poetologie und Kritik des Parnasse 1840-1900 (Berlin/Boston, De Gruyter, 2017). He also edited the German edition of the Eroici furori by Giordano Bruno (Hamburg, Meiner, 2018).
During the second semester (March-May 2022) he will be lecturer of Modern and Contemporary Literature at the University of Udine, holding the course La Neoavanguardia italiana in prospettiva intermediale e transculturale («The Italian Neo-avantgarde from an intermedial and transcultural perspective»).
