A. Einstein
I graduated in Udine in 1998 with a thesis in Organic Chemistry. Since 2004 I have been working at the University of Udine where I teach Chemistry for Cultural Heritage for the three-year degree course in Cultural Heritage. My research concerns the study of the degradation and conservation of cultural assets, in particular archival-libraries. I deal with infrared spectroscopy (FTIR-ATR) for the analysis and characterization of materials present in artistic artefacts (paper, wood, stone materials, etc.). In recent years my interest has also turned to organic synthesis chemistry and analytical chemistry with particular reference to mass spectrometry, carrying out my research at the Di4A organic chemistry laboratory.
