Research
This section promotes the research on those disciplines focusing on the analysis of all the manifestations of the human language, as well as of all the communication, linguistic and literary practices, and of the social structures and phenomena. It combines thus the activities of Linguists, experts in the language and literature area and Sociologists. It aims at operating on the basis of common research objectives, by identifying possible point of intersections among the various areas and by projecting them into a wider interdisciplinary framework, according to the traditional methodologies appropriate for each discipline. The division aims as well at promoting and organizing national and international research projects and programs, and at cooperating with members of other sections of the Department, whenever their competences are needed.
Of course, it must be understood that the research topics pursued by the single members of the division, as well as those that they are currently working on and those that they are planning to approach in the near future are also integral part ot the scientific activity.
