Committees
In order to function properly, the Department needs further committees with tasks related to monitoring the quality of research and education, promoting tutoring and orientation activities, and evaluating the educational offer and student services.
QUALITY ASSURANCE COMMITTEE FOR EDUCATION
The main purpose of the Quality Assurance Committee for Education is to verify the quality of the didactic and training activities of each programme, by preparing annual reports for self-evaluation and improvement of the effectiveness of the various courses.
QUALITY ASSURANCE COMMITTEE FOR RESEARCH
The Quality Assurance Committee for Research aims at monitoring and supervising all departmental activities regarding research. It provides a periodical report on the state of affairs and identifies the most appropriate measures in order to advance further.
JOINT COMMITTEE TEACHERS-STUDENTS
Through a series of specific assessment indicators, the Joint Committee Teacher-Students is given the task of monitoring the educational offer of the Department, as well as the quality of the teachings and the student services. Led by a Chairman appointed by the Council, it is composed by an equal representation of teachers and students.
TUTORING AND ORIENTATION COMMITTEES
The Orientation and Tutoring Committees aim at assisting students throughout their academic career, by offering them support in choosing the right courses, by helping them avoid dropping-out or delays in graduating, enhancing their training and directing them to higher education or to the workplace.
