The Photo Lab is a technical facility at the service of the entire Department. This means that its operator is at the disposal of students, researchers and professors (in accordance with an internal regulation) in order to solve diverse problematics connected to the photographic reproduction of one single object or of various items. The laboratory is also equipped with a device working with light fringes for scanning archaeological objects of small and medium size. The operator is responsible for the materials placed in his custody.
The lab can also offer external services, upon stipulation of specific agreements, such as:
- Analogue/Digital copies
- Reproductions from books
- Outdoor shooting
- Digitalisation of photographic material
- 3D digitalisation
- Creation of data CDs
- Collaborations in the context of archaeological excavations
Available Equipment
- a computer workstation complete with peripherals and professional softwares for printing, scanning and image processing (also 3D)
- a notebook
- three analogue cameras Nikon
- two digital cameras Nikon
- a set of camera lenses
- a photo studio with cold light spotlights, background, screens and reflecting panels
- scanner 3D with light fringes (read the regulation - the file is in Italian only)
